I’m Alex, the solo founder behind CertPilot. I work in IT operations and kept running into the same problem: important IT information was scattered across spreadsheets, registrar accounts, vendor dashboards, and individual people’s notes.
The technical work was being done, but answering a simple question like “Can we prove IT is under control?” still required hours of manual reporting.
That is why I built CertPilot.
CertPilot combines three things:
→ Checks — monitor domains, SSL certificates, DNS, email authentication, domain expiry, and public vendor status → Registers — organize renewals, vendors, people, accounts, assets, systems, and access reviews → Evidence reports — turn that information into dated, plain-English PDFs for management, clients, insurers, or internal reviews
The main idea is simple:
Checks + Registers → Evidence
CertPilot is designed for lean IT teams, MSPs, agencies, and founders who need better operational evidence but do not need the cost or complexity of an enterprise GRC platform.
It is intentionally not employee surveillance, vulnerability scanning, full GRC, or compliance certification. It does not read emails, documents, chats, or employee activity. It focuses on practical operational records and evidence.
The product currently includes multiple live registers, automated public-signal checks, alerts, free assessment tools, and six on-demand evidence report formats.
I built CertPilot as a solo founder, and I would appreciate honest feedback—especially from IT managers, MSPs, agency operators, and anyone still managing this work through spreadsheets.
